REGISTRATION NOW CLOSED
Mark your calendars for October 6-9, 2021, so you can join us in Orlando, FL, for the 2021 BMES Annual Meeting. This year, we are offering both in-person and virtual attendance for a hybrid meeting experience. In addition, our theme, "Magical Healthcare Innovation Powered by an Inclusive Workforce," will set the stage for a robust scientific and student-focused program we have lined up for you this year — including a new Building Communities track.
In the wake of increasing COVID-19 concerns, your safety is our number one priority! We are taking precautions by instilling a mask mandate, providing sanitizing stations, maintaining social distancing, and conducting temperature checks upon registration.
If you are a BMES member, please use the credentials associated with your BMES account and log in here or above. If you’ve forgotten your username or password, you may retrieve it online using the email address associated with your membership. If you are not a BMES member, you may either join now or create a free non-member web account.
DESCRIPTION OF REGISTRATION CATEGORIES
Full In-Person: This option gives you full access to the entire meeting. You will have access to the full in-person program, exhibit hall, all networking capabilities, and poster gallery for 30 days. Please note: In-person registration includes Full Virtual access.
Full Virtual: This option gives you full access to the entire meeting – the next best thing to joining in person! Each BMES session will be live-streamed and recorded (recordings will take up to 48 hours to upload). Join all or part of the meeting live, then go back to watch sessions you didn’t have the time to join. You will also have access to the full in-person program, exhibit hall, all networking capabilities, and poster gallery for 30 days.
Virtual Lite: For those who want to join us virtually, but only want to do so a few hours a day, this is the option for you. Join all plenary sessions, live as well as a three and a half hours of select live-streamed platform sessions. You will have access to the virtual program mentioned above as well as the ability to network with our exhibitors as well as other attendees. Plus, access to the poster gallery! Your ticket gives you access to rewatch this part of the program, view posters, and network for 30 days.

Please remember that due to CDC health guidelines, in-person registrations are limited and only available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Not an active BMES member? Join or renew your membership now to receive substantial savings on registration for the 2021 BMES Annual Meeting! Unfortunately, BMES cannot provide refunds for individuals who register at a non-member rate and later activate a BMES membership. CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICIES
Due to capacity limitations resulting from health and safety precautions, all conference registrations are final, non-refundable, and non-transferrable. Likewise, membership dues payments are also final and cannot be refunded once processed.
PAYMENT POLICIES
Registration fees, payable to BMES in USD, can be paid via Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover. We CANNOT accept checks, international checks, wire transfers, ACH, or EFT payments.
You will automatically receive payment receipts and registration confirmations to the email address you put on file, so please be sure to use the attendee's email address during registration. If you need a copy of the receipt sent to a different email address or need further assistance, contact karen@bmes.org.
NEW PROTOCOL FOR REGISTRATION (FILLABLE PDF FORM)
We are only accepting electronic registrations for BMES 2021, so we urge you to use our online registration system. We cannot accept any submissions that are handwritten, scanned, photographed, screenshotted, etc.
If you choose to submit a .pdf form rather than registering online, it may take up to 14 business days for your registration to be processed. In order for us to process your registration, you must submit the form in .pdf format. Any format other than .pdf (e.g., .doc, .gif, .jpeg), will not be accepted. Please do not fill the form out using your web browser's PDF viewer – be sure to download and open the form in a PDF editing software before completing and saving it.
You will need to email and attach a completed PDF form with valid payment information to registrar@bmes.org no later than Friday, August 27 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Unfortunately, we cannot accept submissions after the deadline.

These events are included with full registration and limited to BMES 2021 participants.

- Student Chapter Awards Breakfast — Students ONLY (Thursday, October 7 at 8 a.m.)
- Industry Mixer (Thursday, October 7 at 6:30 p.m.)
- Network by interest w/ Academia (Friday, October 8 at 2:30 p.m.)
- BMES Bash (Friday, October 8 at 6 p.m.)
Tickets to the following events are not included with registration and must be purchased separately. Space for these is limited and available on a first-come-first-served basis.
- LGBTQIA & Friends Event, sponsored by the University of Cincinnati (Wednesday, October 6 at 8 p.m.)
- Celebration of Minorities in BME Luncheon, sponsored by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (Thursday, October 7 at 11:30 a.m.)
- Gender Equity in BME Luncheon, sponsored by the University of California, Davis ( Friday, October 8 at 11:30 a.m.)
- BMES Bash guest ticket (Friday, October 8 at 6 p.m.)

BADGE POLICIES
You will print out your name badge and any applicable tickets purchased when you arrive on-site. Badges must be worn at all times during Annual Meeting proceedings and are non-transferrable. BMES reserves the right to confiscate any badge worn by an individual other than the named attendee without refund, re-issuance, or re-admittance into the conference (see code of conduct).
There is a non-refundable $25 reprint fee for each replacement badge issued if the attendee damages, loses, or forgets their badge during the meeting. Unfortunately, we cannot replace lost tickets for the BMES Bash.
