As the biomedical engineering community continues to evolve, the need for forward-looking dialogue around research, innovation, and funding has never been more important.
In a special roundtable at this year’s BMES Annual Meeting, recipients of the prestigious Pritzker Award joined BMES President Shelly Sakiyama-Elbert for an in-depth discussion on the current state of the field.
The session opened with remarks from Professor Shu Chien, MD, PhD, past President of BMES, AIMBE, APS, and FASEB, and one of the most widely recognized pioneers in biomedical engineering. After you view the roundtable, we hope you will continue the conversation on BMES Hub.
The keynote featured distinguished panelists Dr. Kyriacos Athanasiou, 2024 Pritzker Awardee, UCI Samueli School of Engineering; Dr. Christopher Chen, 2019 Pritzker Awardee, Boston University; Dr. Linda Griffith, 2025 Pritzker Awardee, MIT Department of Biological Engineering; Dr. Nicholas Peppas, 2016 Pritzker Awardee, University of Texas at Austin.
After you view the keynote, we hope you will join the conversation on BMES Hub.
