Editor-in-Chief Applications Open for BMEE

Call for Submissions: BIEE Special Issue on Preparing Students for Professional Practice

The Biomedical Engineering Education Journal is now accepting submissions for the upcoming Special Issue on Preparing Students for Professional Practice, focused on innovations in skills-building, experiential learning, industry collaboration, alternative career pathways, and more within biomedical engineering education.

Prospective authors are encouraged to submit an abstract that defines the general scope of the paper by July 15, 2025. Authors will receive editorial feedback by August 15, 2025 and full paper submissions are requested by January 5, 2026.

Biomedical Engineering Education is an interdisciplinary journal that presents articles on the practice and scholarship of education in bioengineering, biomedical engineering, and its allied fields.  Biomedical Engineering Education documents and shares advances in the field as educators support students’ learning in these rapidly evolving fields. The journal publishes a wide range of topics to advance the quality of all levels of biomedical engineering education through academic articles and communications that reflect the interdisciplinary nature of the field.
