BMES serves as the lead society and professional home for biomedical engineers and bioengineers. BMES membership has grown to over 6,700 members, with more than 110+ BMES Student Chapters, three Special Interest Groups (SIGs), and four professional journals.
Welcome to the BMES Hub, a cutting-edge collaborative platform created to connect members, foster innovation, and facilitate conversations within the biomedical engineering community.
Exciting Opportunity for Mentors and Mentees to Connect and Grow.
The Student Affairs Subcommittee of the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) is thrilled to announce the launch of a 25-person Mentorship Program. This innovative program is designed to foster professional development, provide guidance, and enhance networking opportunities for BMES members through personalized mentor-mentee pairings.
Program Details:
This program is open to all BMES members interested in becoming either a mentor or a mentee. The selection process will aim to create successful, productive mentor-mentee matches based on shared interests and career goals.
The timeline for the program is as follows:
The committee is excited about the potential of this program to inspire meaningful connections and to help the next generation of biomedical engineers thrive.
How to Apply: BMES members interested in participating as either a mentor or a mentee should complete the program interest form. The form will collect key details to facilitate optimal matching and ensure a rewarding mentorship experience.
This mentorship initiative reflects BMES’ ongoing commitment to fostering career development, knowledge exchange, and community-building among biomedical engineers. With the success of this program, we hope to expand opportunities for mentorship within the BMES community in the future.
Please note: All applications will be carefully reviewed. However, only 25 pairings will be selected for this initial round. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to apply early!
