BMES serves as the lead society and professional home for biomedical engineers and bioengineers. BMES membership has grown to over 6,700 members, with more than 110+ BMES Student Chapters, three Special Interest Groups (SIGs), and four professional journals.

We are delighted to invite you to the 2025 BMES Annual Meeting, taking place October 8-12 in San Diego, CA. This year’s theme, "Bridging Healthcare Gaps: The Role of Biomedical Engineering," highlights the critical role of biomedical engineering in shaping a healthier, more accessible future.
The meeting will feature pioneering research, innovative technologies, and interdisciplinary approaches that advance health through biomedical engineering solutions. Attendees will have opportunities to connect with experts and explore cutting-edge developments that address pressing global health challenges.
We are excited to welcome Eric Topol as our opening keynote speaker. He is renowned for his transformative work in cardiology, digital health, and precision medicine. We will also recognize Linda Griffith, the recipient of our coveted 2025 Pritzker Award, for her pioneering contributions to engineering approaches for women’s health, and other recipients of our prestigious awards which will be announced later in the year.
This year’s program offers a diverse array of sessions, discussions, and collaborative opportunities, designed to inspire innovation and advance the role of biomedical engineering in promoting health outcomes and increasing accessibility.
