A Message from the 2024 BMES Annual Meeting Co-Chairs

We are honored to be co-chairing the 2024 BMES Annual Meeting. We invite you to join us this fall for what we anticipate will be a spectacular event filled with strong science, great networking opportunities, and engaging special events.

The Annual Meeting will be held October 23-26, 2024, in Baltimore. We selected “Synergizing Research and Cultural Excellence” as this year’s theme. Explore with us how facilitating diverse perspectives strengthens biomedical research and innovation. The conference will emphasize the importance of inclusivity for achieving the highest standards of excellence in industry and academic research.

One of the highlights you won’t want to miss is the Opening Plenary Session, featuring the esteemed Dr. Gordana Vunjak-Novakovic, University Professor and The Mikati Foundation Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Medicine at Columbia University. Drawing on her impressive credentials and groundbreaking research in the field of tissue engineering, Dr. Vunjak-Novakovic will deliver a captivating presentation on “Translational Studies of Engineered Human Tissues.” This opening plenary session sets the stage for a dynamic conference program.

Taking advantage of our proximity to our nation’s capital, we will include special sessions with the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, the National Institute of Standards & Technology, and the Food and Drug Administration.
