Meet the Faculty Candidate Forum Applications Now Open
If you're attending the 2026 BMES Annual Meeting, join us for our annual Meet the Faculty Candidate Forum. This networking event will be taking place at BMES 2026, on Wednesday, October 21st, 2026, in Orlando, FL.
The Forum is an excellent opportunity for candidates interested in academic positions in 2027-2028. You will meet and network directly with college recruiters who can help you take the next steps in your BME career.
To qualify for this event, you must:
- Be actively on the market for the 2026-2027 recruiting cycle*
- Will receive your PhD in 2026 or prior
- Be a current BMES member
- Must be registered for the Annual Meeting by 9/2/2026 (Early Bird Deadline)
Accepted candidates will present a biosketch and poster outlining accomplishments, aspirations, and accolades.

We are seeking heads of departments, professors, and recruiting managers looking to hire for teaching- and research-focused positions. BMES will provide recruiters with an overview of each candidate before the event. This is available only to those recruiters who sign up by September 25, 2026.
