B. Rita Alevriadou selected as Associate Editor of the American Journal of Physiology - Cell Physiology

B. Rita Alevriadou -- the University at Buffalo – SUNY -- was selected as Associate Editor of the American Journal of Physiology – Cell Physiology (AJP-Cell). 
AJP-Cell is dedicated to innovative approaches to the study of cell and molecular physiology (https://www.physiology.org/ajpcell/about). 

Alevriadou has been on the Editorial Board since 2002 and was also voted an American Physiological Society (APS) STAR reviewer by APS Editors in 2016. In the team of six Associate Editors, she is the only member with primary appointment in BME (https://www.physiology.org/ajpcell/edboard).

Alevriadou has been a BMES member since 1994, and has served the Society in different capacities, including as an elected member of the BMES Board of Directors (2014-17). One of her goals as an Associate Editor is to help the Journal reach out to new authors in the BME community.
