2019 BMES Coulter College: Call for Team Applications

BMES Coulter College will take place from August 1-4, 2019 in Minneapolis. BMES Coulter College is a training program focused on translation of biomedical innovations that is funded through a grant from the Wallace H. Coulter Foundation.
BMES will partner with Medtronic to host the event at their facilities in Minnesota.  This year the program will be enhanced to offer tailored professional development programming to design faculty participants and networking opportunities to design faculty and student participants throughout the event. We are looking for dedicated teams to participate in this exciting program.
Mentors in key design areas will guide student teams through a dynamic and interactive process to help students and faculty better understand how innovations can meet clinical needs. Each team will consist of a senior design faculty lead and four undergraduate BME students who will be senior-level students at the start of the Fall 2019 academic year.
BMES Coulter College team applications are due Friday, April 12, 2019. Each team application must be submitted by a BME student design faculty member currently affiliated with a university who has taught or is interested in teaching senior design. Applications submitted by students will not be reviewed. The faculty and student participants must commit to participating in webinars over the summer and completing pre-assignments in preparation for the program.  Those selected to participate will be eligible to receive a team stipend to defray students' travel costs. In addition, students will be provided with meals and lodging. Faculty will be responsible for their own travel and lodging expenses, but will be provided with meals.
