Suzie Pun elected to Washington State Academy of Sciences 2018

Suzie Pun, the Washington University Robert F. Rushmer Professor of Bioengineering, was elected to the Washington State Academy of Sciences in 2018.
The members were selected for “their outstanding record of scientific achievement and willingness to work on behalf of the academy in bringing the best available science to bear on issues within the state of Washington,” according to the organization.

Pun, along with 14 other UW faculty, will be formally inducted at the organization's annual meeting at the Museum of Flight in Seattle. Pun is a BMES member.

This year's larger than average class size reflects the election of 16 new members and a re-doubling of WSAS's efforts to invite members of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine living in Washington State to serve as members of our Academy. The total number of members is now 286.
