Conference Registration Rate Information
BMES Members: Discounted registration rates are available to Members/Fellows, Early Career Members and Student Members in good standing. If your membership is lapsed, you will be charged at the appropriate Non-Member rate.
Non-Members: This registration rate applies to non-student registrants that are not members of the Society, as well as inactive (expired) Members, Fellows & Early Career Members. If you are not a member of BMES, join now to become eligible to receive substantial savings on your 2020 CMBE Conference registration fees.
Student Non-Members: To qualify for the Student Non-Member registration rate, you must be actively seeking a degree (undergraduate, graduate or doctoral) in biomedical engineering or a related science at the time of registration, and you must not be a current member of the Society.
REFUNDS FOR REGISTRATION FEES WILL NOT BE GIVEN TO INDIVIDUALS WHO REGISTER AT A NON-MEMBER RATE AND LATER JOIN OR RENEW THEIR BMES MEMBERSHIP--NO EXCEPTIONS.

EARLY CAREER MEMBER
Name badges and any applicable tickets purchased will be issued to each registered attendee on-site; Badges must remain visible at all times during CMBE Conference proceedings and are non-transferrable. BMES reserves the right to confiscate any badge being worn by an individual other than the named attendee without refund, re-issuance or re-admittance into the conference. In the event that an attendee damages, loses or forgets their badge during the meeting, there will be a non-refundable $25 reprint fee assessed for each replacement badge issued. Event tickets (if applicable) will not be replaced if lost on-site.
Requests for registration cancellation must be received by email@example.com in writing no later than November 21, 2019 in order for a refund to be processed.* Refund requests will not be honored after 11/21. Registrations purchased after 11/21 are non-refundable. Phone cancellations are strictly prohibited, and cancellation requests sent via mail, fax or emailed to any inbox other than firstname.lastname@example.org will not be reviewed. All refunds are subject to a $50 cancellation fee. Attendee substitutions are not permitted and meeting registrations cannot be transferred from one person to another. Membership dues payments are final and will not be refunded.
FORM UNAVAILABLE - PRE REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED
*Non-attending (no-show) registrants will not be refunded unless they are unable to attend the 2020 CMBE Conference due to extenuating circumstances (e.g. flight cancellations, medical emergencies). These registrants must submit reasonable verification of their inability to attend via email to email@example.com prior to the conclusion of the conference. Failure to submit this documentation and correspondence by January 6, 2020 will result in 100% forfeiture of all registration fees paid, regardless of circumstances surrounding the absenteeism.
Registration fees can be paid by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover or Check made payable in US dollars to BMES. WE DO NOT ACCEPT INTERNATIONAL CHECKS, WIRE TRANSFERS, ACH OR EFT PAYMENTS AT THIS TIME. Check payments submitted without a completed registration form for each attendee will not be processed and will be returned to sender without notice. Check payments must be dated, postmarked and in transit prior to the Early-Bird or Advance registration cut-off dates in order for the registrant to receive the applicable rate selected on their form -- Only registrations received with payment in full on or before 11/21 will be processed at the Early Bird rate. Forms received 11/22-12/12 will be processed at the Advance rate.
THE PRE-REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS 12/12 AT 11:59PM (ET), AFTER WHICH ALL REGISTRATIONS MUST BE COMPLETED ON-SITE AT THE APPROPRIATE ON-SITE RATE. FORMS AND PAYMENTS SUBMITTED VIA MAIL, EMAIL OR FAX AFTER 12/12 WILL NOT BE PROCESSED. Check payments received beyond this date will not be applied towards an attendee's registration until after the 2020 CMBE Conference has concluded, and individuals without a registration record showing as paid in full prior to the meeting will be required to pay the full cost of their registration on-site at the on-site rate.
Payment receipts and registration confirmations will be automatically sent to the registrant's email address on file. If additional copies of transaction receipts or invoices are needed for departmental records, please send your requests to firstname.lastname@example.org or log into your account and visit the "My Receipts" link, located on the left hand side of your BMES profile page.

The fastest and easiest way to register for the 2020 CMBE Conference is to complete your registration online. You should only submit a PDF form if you are having trouble with our website OR if you are paying by check.
The 2020 CMBE Conference Pre-Registration Form is an interactive, fillable PDF and must be completed using a computer or device with standard PDF editing software installed (Adobe, Foxit, SumatraPDF, etc). HANDWRITTEN, "PEN AND INK" FORM SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED OR PROCESSED. Completed forms should be saved in PDF format and sent as an email attachment to REGISTRAR@BMES.ORG no later than 12/12/2019 at 11:59pm (Eastern Time). Forms submitted after 12/12 will not be accepted. Forms submitted in any format other than a .pdf file (e.g. .doc, .gif, .jpeg) will not be opened. Submissions that have been printed & scanned, copied, photographed and/or screenshotted will be rejected.
Note -- download the pdf file before completing it. Do not try to fill it out using your web browser's PDF viewer. These don't always save an editable/fillable file's data when it has been entered directly on-screen of the browser window, even when you save the file after filling it out. To avoid this, be sure to download and open the form in a PDF software prior to completing it.
To download the form, right click the link below, select "Save Link as" and choose a place on your computer where you can easily find the saved file. Hit "save" and then minimize or close your web browser window -- once again, do not fill the form out from within your web browser. Find and open the downloaded file directly from the location on your computer that you saved it to. By default, it should open in your computer's PDF viewer or editing software, which you will then use to fill out the form electronically by typing your information into each of the appropriate form fields within the PDF. When you have completed the form, be sure to save the file one more time before closing it out and submitting it.
