Dr. Jeffrey Vogel is a Sr. Principal Development Engineer at Medtronic. Previously, he worked for Covidien in the same role prior to the recent acquisition of Covidien by Medtronic, and for ev3 in a variety of engineering roles in product development. Prior to joining ev3 in 2006, he worked for Boston Scientific for 11 years in endovascular process development, following 6 years as an Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Minnesota. He received Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, in 1984 and 1986, respectively, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in 1989. He has published over 20 scientific articles in the study of materials and material processing and has been awarded 16 patents.
