Leadership and networking are critical at all levels of professional engineering. Both are important skills for engineers to have for driving innovations, leading institutions, companies and agencies, and accessing people, information, and resources to help solve problems and create opportunities. This webinar will inform biomedical engineering undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, recent graduates, early career professionals and those interested in enhancing their leadership and networking abilities by: 
  • Identifying fundamental principles and core competencies in key leadership areas, practices and characteristics necessary for taking on positions of leadership;
  • Sharing helpful leadership and networking resources;
  • Offering tips for sharpening networking skills in a variety of settings, building partnerships and making career connections;
  • Providing examples of ways to network and explore the different types of networking opportunities that exist in your region.
