The Biomedical Engineering Society produces several publications to keep its members informed of activities in the Society and developments in the biomedical engineering profession. Non-members have the opportunity to purchase the publications listed below.
Annals of Biomedical Engineering
The BMES scientific journal, Annals of Biomedical Engineering, is published monthly and presents original research in the following areas: tissue and cellular engineering and biotechnology; biomaterials and biological interfaces; biological signal processing and instrumentation; biomechanics, rheology, and molecular motion; dynamical, regulatory, and integrative biology; transport phenomena, systems analysis and electrophysiology; imaging.
Cellular and Molecular Bioengineering
A key challenge in improving human health is to understand how cellular behavior arises from molecular-level interactions. The field of Cellular and Molecular Bioengineering seeks to understand, so that we may ultimately control, the mechanical, chemical, and electrical processes of the cell. The aims of this journal are to publish experimental and theoretical studies that advance our understanding of (1) the biomechanics of cells, including their interaction with the extracellular environment, and of biomolecules...

Biomedical Engineering News
Over the past year-at the direction of the board of directors, and with input from the Publications Committee-the new BMES Communications Committee has had a series of discussions about how we can improve our communications to all members. As we see it, one of the prime benefits of being a member of our Society should be the ability to keep up with everything of consequence happening in the profession.
BMES Bulletin
The Society no longer publishes the BMES Bulletin, and instead published Biomedical Engineering News monthly.
