BME BE Accreditation
This section of the BMES web site will contain information on the the accreditation of biomedical and bioengineering programs.
The Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) joined ABET as a members society in 2003. BMES is the lead society for the accreditation of biomedical and bioengineering programs.
Institutions planning to seek accreditation are advised to first contact ABET at www.abet.org for detailed information regarding the accreditation process.
Accredited Engineering and BioEngineering Technology Programs
A total of 57 engineering and bioengineering technology programs are currently accredited by ABET and BMES as lead society.
BMES Accreditation Activities Committee
The Accreditation Activities Committee (AAC) is responsible for BMES’s participation in the accreditation activities of the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) and the Technology Accreditation Commission (TAC) of ABET.

The BMES Board appointed Accreditation Activities Committee (AAC) is responsible for BMES's participation in the accreditation activities of the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) and the Technology Accreditation Commission (TAC) of ABET.

BMES Resources
