STUDENT VOLUNTEERS

We have created a wait list for volunteers.  If you would like to be on this list you must email meetings@bmes.org with the following information:

  1. First and Last Name
  2. Email and cell phone
  3. University
  4. If you want one or two shifts, if available
  5. MOST IMPORTANT - Specific day(s) and specific times you are available to work  
    The more flexible and available you are the more likely you will receive an assignment

Wait list assignments will not begin to be made until September 12 and we do not guarantee that there will be availability.  If you do not provide the information requested above you will definitely not receive an assignment.

We make assignments in the order people signed up.   Calling, emailing or begging will not earn an assignment.  We follow strict, fair guidelines to assign in order of the date the student signed up.  If you did not sign up before we closed the site on August 20 you will need to apply to be on the waiting list as noted above.  

ASSIGNMENTS HAVE NOT BEEN SENT YET.  CHECK THIS SITE FOR UPDATED INFORMATION ON WHEN THE ASSIGNMENT EMAILS ARE SENT.


 
These assignments are not a "temp job" where you earn wages.  These assignments are a scholarship program to allow students the opportunity to attend the meeting with some financial assistance for their registration fees that even though they are already discounted may be a challenge for a student to attend the meeting.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Refunds will go back to the method of payment used to pay registration fees.  For example, the credit card used will be the credit card that receives the refund.  If someone else paid for your registration they will receive the refund. Refunds may take up to 6 weeks after the meeting to be processed and show up on the credit card statement.

 

IF YOU ARE A VOLUNTEER YOU CAN EARN $125 FOR EACH 4 HOUR SHIFT OR $250 IF YOU WORK TWO SHIFTS!
ARE YOU WONDERING HOW THIS WORKS?

1.  YOU MUST BE A STUDENT TO VOLUNTEER
 
2. YOU MUST REGISTER FOR THE MEETING.  
     BEING A VOLUNTEER IS SEPARATE FROM MEETING REGISTRATION. 
     YOU WILL NEED A BADGE TO GAIN ACCESS TO SESSIONS AND EVENTS.
     We encourage you to register for Early Bird discounts.  
   
3.  AT THE END OF YOUR WORK HOURS, YOU WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR:
     $125 credit for each 4 hour shift ($250 for two shifts) towards registration fees. 

    Each student is eligible for up to two vouchers.  
    No cash will be refunded if registration fees paid is less than credit earned.
